Each year world leaders (under the leadership of the United Nations) come together to discuss the climate change crisis.
The main objective is to adopt the implementation guidelines of the Paris climate change agreement. 
In October 2018 the UN panel of experts on climate change issued a global warning. With our human impacts compounding on a faster and greater scale each year, urgent action is required to prevent global temperatures from exceeding a rise of 2°.
